Blaine to the rescue

I'm rescuing the floor, the table, the bathroom.

This mess has gotten out of hand!

(It's actually not that bad, but everytime we do a massive clean after letting it slide for a few weeks, especially with impending company... I freak out when there is a sock on the floor, flyers and cups on the table (and receipts and stuff I bought with which I will be baking next week...) and the bathroom just needs a really good clean...)

If people were to come over right NOW, I might lose it, and ask them to go for coffee for an hour and then come back! (Or just keep their eyes closed...)

But then we might have lawsuits on our hand, between Marley 'herding' our guests, furniture & walls, they'd most likely get injured. Dilemna... (wait, how the hell do you spell that word? Hold on...

Dictionary.com opened in another tab...

And: di·lem·ma
–noun
1. a situation requiring a choice between equally undesirable alternatives.
2. any difficult or perplexing situation or problem.
3. Logic. a form of syllogism in which the major premise is formed of two or more hypothetical propositions and the minor premise is a disjunctive proposition, as "If A, then B; if C then D. Either A or C. Therefore, either B or D."

the Encyclopedia's: A dilemma (Greek δί-λημμα "double proposition") is a problem offering two solutions or possibilities, of which neither is acceptable. The two options are often described as the horns of a dilemma, neither of which is comfortable.

Why did I think there was an 'n' in it?
Now I've completely lost my train of thought...

Oh well. (After reading that again... wow. Totally went off-base.)

I am proud to say that I have not had a Tim Horton's (or any other) coffee in a week. That is huge considering my habit sometimes led me to TH twice in a day. I'd go there for lunch, then while on that end of town after work shopping, I would tell myself, while I'm here, I might as well stop there...

Still drinking Pepsi, though. But at least I'm not driving upwards of 15 minutes to go get it. (I can never understand after I've stopped drinking coffee for awhile how I used to rationalize the effect on the environment Just. For. A. Damn. Coffee.) - I know, I know, it's Tim's. I know! But, in the end, it is still just a coffee, and while it is DAMN good, I don't need it, my waistline doesn't need it, and the environment would be better off if I didn't have it.

And, as I keep learning, then faltering, one is not okay. One leads me to going back for more. Always. If I keep telling myself no, then I will be fine. I just need to not look at how not busy it always seems to be when I drive by.

It could be the quickest TH stop ever. Go figure. But, no.

I have found a new addiction to keep my mind busy and TH free: Lochren, pictures of Lochren, hearing about Lochren.

Don't get me wrong, I am not obsessed or anything. I am, however, very excited that C, J & T now have a 'little' boy! A keen reader of my Aunties' Blogs, and viewer of my Auntie's pictures, I have been checking several times a day to see if there's more pictures, more lovely paragraphs about how he's doing, how T is liking her little brother, how happy C & J are to finally have him!

I completely understand how tired they must be, but like everyone else, want to know more! See more! (If I could drive there to see for myself, I would, but with the holidays coming up, I sure can't take time off!)

So, Chair, if you're reading this: You guys are in my thoughts, and I'm sending you tons of love! Hope that you are able to relax and sleep better, and I can't wait to visit!

:D
