So. Freaking. Bored.

Oy. I need a hobby. Something I can do, here in Hinton. While I am awaiting news on the job front, I am slowly going crazy.

I am getting bored in the kitchen. (SHHH!!! Don't tell anyone!) I made banana bread, I made cupcakes, I've made a roast dinner, I've made a chicken dinner. We've also had lazy days of KD or hamburger helper.

I made soup out of the leftover roast(from a week ago), and plan to make soup out of the leftover chicken(from a few days ago).

I already printed a bunch of recipes from foodtv.com (all from Good Eats with Alton Brown). I already tried the potato and mushroom au gratin (didn't really like it, but know I could make it better next time). I tried the stuffed mushrooms, which I also didn't really like, but know I could make a little better next time. I have also made Chocolate Ice Cream, finally putting my ice cream maker to good use. We tried it straight out of the ice cream machine, but haven't tried the finished product, yet.

I am out of things to do online, am sick of cooking and baking because of the dishes.
TV is boring. Movies are boring. Chris and I have already gone out to Wildhorse Lake, we also went for a drive down past Cadomin, a town south of Hinton, where we were just kinda driving around. Yesterday we went to Miette Hot Springs, and had a lot of fun on the road there, very squiggly. Oh, and we got a year's pass to all of Canada's National Parks... not very expensive, either, compared to the price per visit.

We basically got there, and turned around and came back. We did, however, stop long enough for me to use the washroom, and to take some pictures of the elk that were in the parking lot.

We saw one that looked quite ill. He had a huge swollen round thing on the right side of his face, looked like a tumour. The left side of his mouth wasn't much better though.

I need a job! At this point it isn't even about the money. I just need to get out of the house! (Besides Chris' brother, sister-in-law, and baby, I don't really know anyone in Hinton... )

I feel great, having gone down in the amount of medication I take from 100mg to 75mg.

Haven't noticed any side effects...

Besides good ones...

Want to see some pictures?

Yes? Okay!

Let me try to upload some...

Okay, the pictures are not freaking working... So, I will try again.

Nope, still not working. Will try again later.

Take up knitting! Seriously, it's way easier than you think and the creative possibilities are endless.... endless... endless....

:^)

(What the heck does TAK stand for? I've been trying to figure it out and I'm going bonkers!)

TAK= The Any Key

And, I want to knt, but I am not good at learning from paper... I need someone to show me...

I wonder if Chris' mom knows how? She'll be here within a week, and could show me...

I might be 'reduced' to asking for a sewing machine for Christmas so I can learn how to sew, too...

(I'm not being a bitch, I actually wish I had taken time out of Home Economics from the cooking side, to learn how to sew, too)

Yeah, I have always wanted to knit, I walk past the bundles of yarn at the store and want to buy them, but don't have any real reason yet...
